Get Ahead

Wiltshire College & University Centre has partnered with New College Swindon and Go Train to deliver a new initiative for 15 – 25 year olds to help them reach their potential.

Get Ahead offers a flexible range of qualifications and experiences which have been designed to help young people feel confident, focused and empowered.

As well as expert careers information, advice and guidance, young people will develop a whole range of work focused skills ranging from managing money, through to building confidence.

Get Ahead is a stepping stone to either an apprenticeship, traineeship, employment or full-time learning. Courses can be completed in a matter of weeks and are all part-time.

The £1.8million scheme is funded by the European Social Fund which helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support skills development, employment and job creation, social inclusion and local community regenerations.
