COVID-19 Passenger Transport Advice

For students travelling to College on public transport or a dedicated College bus, it is important that you are aware of the rules and guidelines that have been put in place to protect you and your fellow passengers.

Please read the latest guidance about school and college transport before you travel.

Travelling by Bus

The following is information regarding the local bus routes serving Chippenham campus students.

Please read carefully and make your travel arrangements in time for the start of term. If your route qualifies for the Wiltshire Council bus pass please visit the council website to get more information and make an application.

From Malmesbury and surrounding villages

This route qualifies for the Wiltshire Council bus pass.

92 Bus by Coachstyle

Carnet of tickets available to buy, pay for 10 journeys and get 1 free.

From Swindon

The Wiltshire Council bus pass is not available for this route.

55 bus by Stagecoach 

Student daily rate available on production of student ID.

From Devizes

The Wiltshire Council bus pass is not available for this route.

X34 by Faresaver 

Monthly pass available, £62 on the bus and £55 via mobile ticketing on smartphone. Can be used on any Faresaver bus any time.

From Trowbridge

The Wiltshire Council bus pass is not available for this route.

Travelling by Train

Students travelling on the train network and aged 16 or 17 can purchase a 16 – 17 Saver card for a 50% reduction in their train fares here

Students aged 18 and over can purchase a young person’s railcard which entitles them to a 30% reduction in ticket prices: click here

Travelling by Car

There is free parking on site. Parking is limited and the College car park is monitored by Parking Eye. Students should register their vehicle with the College when they start their course to avoid a fine.

Useful Information and Links

The College bursaries can offer financial support to help with the cost of travelling to college. If you live more than 3 miles (walking distance) from College and your household income is less than £35,000, you should apply. Information and application forms can be found here:
