Course Overview
This course is a continuation of Spanish - Intermediate (Part 2) and will introduce new topics, current affairs and debates. The emphasis will be primarily on consolidating your knowledge of Spanish by extending your vocabulary, structures and fluency. Listening, speaking, reading and writing activities are designed to maximize your confidence and progress.
What will I learn?
The course will concentrate on the four language skills and will extend grammar knowledge. Students will be encouraged to express themselves and give opinions in Spanish.
The topics covered will include:
- Read and discuss books and articles about Spanish culture
- Topical issues
- Debates
- Time is set aside for conversation practice
- Exploration of grammar
- Class activities
- Homework is given to help with the revision of the classes
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for adult learners who have completed the Spanish - Intermediate Advanced (Part 2) course at Wiltshire College or at a similar establishment. This is also suitable for those who have previous knowledge of the language and who feel they can cope at a level with the topics and grammar itemized and wish to improve their confidence and communication skills.
Additional Costs and Information
You will be asked to buy a course book, this will be discussed in your first session. You should bring with you writing materials and a Spanish-English dictionary.
