What will I learn?

As organisations depend on the functions and services offered by computing devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, you’ll look at the characteristics of programming languages to meet clients’ needs, making use of programs within operating systems or application programs to help deliver products and services; from design to refine, to review! You’ll design, create and review a computer game to meet specific requirements, reflecting on the skills applied during the design and development process.

You’ll review IT system security and the vulnerabilities that open us up to attacks from cyber criminals, and the importance for organisations to have robust plans in place. You’ll gain a sound understanding of how to effectively select and use appropriate IT systems, reviewing relationships between hardware and software and the impact on users and the systems. We’ll get you examining and solving issues within management information systems that support organisations with their operational data from small in-house systems to large stock control systems.
