Course Overview


This course is aimed at individuals already working in the engineering manufacturing sector in?typical work roles such as Machine Setter Operator, Machine Tool Fitter (semi-skilled), Jig and Tool Fitter (semi-skilled), Moulder/Coremaker (semi-skilled), Mechanical Fitter (semi-skilled), Semi-skilled Sheet Metal Worker or CNC Operator/Setter.The course is also ideal for those who have been working in manufacturing for a while, but who are yet to obtain formal recognition of their skills by way of a qualification.


What will I learn?


The course will confirm the learners' current skills but also serve to challenge and stretch a learner where there are gaps in their theory or practical skills.

Entry Requirements


The individual must be in full time employment working in a?role in engineering manufacturing.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications


The course is delivered at the learners' place of work, with the College Assessor visiting every six to eight weeks.

During an Assessor visit, actions are agreed, and a continued portfolio of evidence is built moving forward, proving the learners' understanding of the theory behind the subject matter and ability to apply this in their day to day practical activities.
