Course Overview
Learning a language can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience, whether you’d like to continue studying for pleasure, travel, business, or simply to meet like-minded people. Come and join our evening class which is taught in a friendly, relaxed and adult orientated manner. This is a 10 week online course and it is the final part of a three parts course, giving you the opportunity to progress even further should you wish!
What will I learn?
The emphasis will be primarily on consolidating previous knowledge and extending vocabulary, structures and fluency. Listening, speaking, reading and writing activities are designed to maximize your confidence and progress.
The course will concentrate on the four language skills with particular focus on the speaking and listening. Students will be encouraged to express themselves and give opinions in Italian.
The topics covered will include:
• Free time
• Past Holidays
• Shopping and public services
• At home
• Various Italian cultural topics
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
As this is a new online course worksheets etc. will be emailed / shared with students just before the lesson to ensure that they have the necessary information to participate in the online lesson. Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
There are no final qualifications associated with this course.
Entry Requirements
This course is suitable for adult learners who have completed the Italian Beginners part 1 and 2 course at Wiltshire College or at a similar establishment.
This is also suitable for those who have previous knowledge of the language and who feel they can cope at a level with the topics and grammar itemized.
Additional Costs and Information
You will be asked to buy a course book, this will be discussed in your first session.
Please also bring an A4 folder, paper and pens.
To get maximum benefit from the course, students should expect to do up to an hour at home each week to reinforce the work covered in class. Your tutor will advise you on what work to do at home.
