Are you keen to improve your employment prospects? Do you want help in producing a standout C.V.? This is the course for you. It aims to help you develop a range of employability skills, so whether you are returning to work after a career break, trying to find a new job or just feel that you need some help and support in a relaxed and supportive environment with experienced teachers then we can help you. We want you to be able to access the course easily, so it runs for 5 weeks, sessions last for 2 hours, and it is taught during school hours and during term time.
What will I learn?
There are a range of topics to do with employability that we will cover during the course. We will begin with learning how to complete forms, then you will learn how to create a professional C.V. and see how it can be adapted to the job you have applied for. We will help you develop the skills needed for an interview, including planning and preparation for your interview. We will help you improve and develop your money management skills. You will be able to learn these skills by completing a range of practical and written tasks that will help you demonstrate your skills and achievements during the course.
This course is designed for learners who meet one or more of the following criteria:
• On a low income or in receipt of a means tested benefit
• Pre Level 2
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.

There are no additional course costs.
You should bring with you:
A pen and notebook, and if you have one a copy of your C.V.
This course runs on one day per week at the Westbury Community Project and the dates are:
05.11.20-03.12.20 Thursday 13:00-15:00
