Course Overview


This nationally recognised qualification is designed for those with management responsibilities who require additional training in the use of key management tools and processes. It is also suitable for experienced or practising team leaders seeking career progression to the next level of management. This is a blended learning programme, consisting of 2/3 units with a choice of either 2/3 open workshops or 1/2 open workshops and 1/2 online workbooks; with the aim to complete within three months of your start date. The open workshops are face-to-face, interactive and practical sessions, with hardcopies of workbooks and handouts. The online learning platform, is designed for easy use and can be logged onto anytime and on any devices, providing you have internet access.

What will I learn?


Students will choose two units from which include understanding the communication process in the workplace, understanding leadership, understanding how to motivate to improve performance, understand performance management and understanding conflict management in the workplace. Those choosing the Conflict Management Unit you will need to choose 3 units to complete in total.
During the course, you will learn a range of key management skills and put them into practice in your own role. The unit’s assessments are via a series of questions/assignments designed to test your knowledge and understanding of the unit. Your tutor will support you, mark these and feedback back to you as you progress through each unit until completion.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications


Assessment is dependent on which method students choose to complete the units through - online or classroom.

Additional Costs and Information


The open workshops are delivered at our Lackham campus, with beautiful surroundings; tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the sessions and lunch is purchasable from the refectory or you can bring your own.
This qualification comes with one year’s free ILM studying membership, giving access to additional learning resources.
