You may be required to study one of the two Optional modules dependent upon student numbers.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
This course will either be studied full-time over one year or part-time over two years if linked to an apprenticeship or occupational standard. It will be necessary for you to undertake a significant amount of independent directed study to meet the demands of the programme.
Your personal tutor will help you to define your short- and medium-term goals throughout the course and can help you plan your independent directed study.
If you study full-time, you will benefit from a work placement with an employer in an industry related to your course of study and you will be encouraged and supported to make every effort to obtain an appropriate placement.
You will be provided with additional information and guidance at interview, enrolment and during induction. The college will assist you in finding suitable placement opportunities in the industry and will support you throughout the programme.
On successful completion of this course, you will achieve a Higher National Certificate (HNC) Digital Technologies, awarded by Pearson.
A level 3 qualification in an appropriate I.T. related subject such as A Levels or BTEC level 3 Diploma.
Two GCSEs minimum in English and Mathematics at grade C (4) or equivalent.
All applicants may be required to pass initial assessments in English, ICT and Mathematics.
