Delivered at our Salisbury campus and franchised by Bournemouth University, the aim of the programme is to prepare you for working in a scientific or health environment.The Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Health and Nutrition with Foundation Year will firstly give you the underpinning knowledge needed to prepare you for successful completion of the Foundation Degree.The Foundation Degree (FdSc) in Health and Nutrition will give you the vocational skills and knowledge to be attractive to employers at the end of the five years study.

* You will be required to study one of the two Optional modules dependent upon student numbers.

If you are applying for the Foundation Year, you should normally have
3 GCSEs in English, Science and Maths at grade C (4) or equivalent with level 3 qualifications; 32 UCAS Tariff Points, but not necessarily within science subjects.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment includes reports, coursework, practical skills, presentations and exams.
All modules are designed to enable you to engage in new areas of knowledge to acquire practical experience of a range of activities relevant to your employment within the health and / or nutrition industry and to encourage you to engage in critical reflection.
You will be given the opportunity to participate in lectures and workshops, plan and deliver presentations to your peers, research areas of relevance to the degree programme, critically evaluate the validity and implications of information and work with a wide variety of health or nutrition hardware and software.
Additional Costs and Information
You may be required to attend an interview and you can apply for this programme via the college website.
The cost of this programme is £5,470 per year for the Foundation Degree and £3,000 for the Foundation Year.
You may be required to buy textbooks to support your studies.
You will be required to buy a lab coat at a cost of £22.50 which can be purchased through the college online shop.
There may be additional costs for educational trips and visits, but these are still to be confirmed.

You will have the theoretical and practical knowledge which would benefit any employer in the health and / or nutrition field.You can achieve a full BSc by progressing onto a top-up year (level 6).The college is in partnership with Bournemouth University and you will be offered an interview for entry onto level 6 if desired.
