Study, Assessment and Qualifications
The programme will be tailored to your individual needs within the framework of the accredited Ascentis qualification at Entry 3 or Level 1.
You will study English and maths at a level that is right for you, following an initial assessment when we interview you or when your course begins. In these subjects the qualification you will work towards is a GCSE or Functional Skills College Certificate.
Although this course has no formal entry requirements, learners will be studying at a foundation level. This is not a general taster course for our Construction and Trades courses.
We will need to see any qualifications you have achieved during your previous education and our staff will meet with you to find out if this is the right course for you.
Additional Costs and Information
You will need to supply your own overalls and safety boots for practical activities and stationery for classroom work. The course is likely to include trips to tourist attractions and community facilities which will require a contribution to the cost.
In addition, you may require special safety equipment or uniforms for some work experience options. You may be eligible for financial help from the College to help meet these costs.
