If you're interested in developing your skills in drawing and painting with watercolours, this is the perfect course for you. Some experience is necessary. You will be supported in your learning through a range of projects, one-to-one tutorials, handouts, group discussions and demonstrations. All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to experiment with different techniques!
What will I learn?
The aim of the course is to help you to develop your observational skills and stimulate your creativity while exploring different techniques in both drawing and watercolour painting. A broad subject range will be covered including still life, landscape, architecture, sketching on location, life drawing, studying other artists and gallery visits.
There are no entry requirements associated with this course.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course lecturer. There are no final qualifications associated with this course.
Additional Costs and Information
In view of COVID-19 please could learners bring their own brushes, pencils etc to avoid sharing wherever possible.
You may wish to bring some small change for tea/coffee refreshments.
Please note that there is no parking at the Methuen Centre. The closest car park is in the High Street, adjacent to The Methuen Arms, where there is a charge for parking.
This course runs on one day per week at the Methuen Centre, Corsham and the dates are:
