Course Overview
If you're interested in developing your skills in drawing and painting with watercolours, this is the perfect course for you. No experience is necessary - our lecturers cater for all ability levels, providing a high degree of individual help and attention. All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to experiment with different techniques!
What will I learn?
The aim of the course is to help you to develop your observational skills and stimulate your creativity while exploring different techniques in both drawing and watercolour painting. A broad subject range will be covered including still life, landscape, architecture, sketching on location, life drawing, studying other artists and gallery visits.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course lecturer. There are no final qualifications associated with this course.
Additional Costs and Information
As the course will be delivered online via Microsoft Teams, you will need a computer with internet access, an A3/A4 sketchbook, watercolour pad, a range of pencils, charcoal, fine liners, pencil crayons, oil/chalk pastels, and either watercolours (crimson, cobalt blue, cadmium yellow, white, yellow ochre, raw sienna, burnt sienna and burnt umber) or acrylic paints (crimson, cobalt blue, cadmium yellow, white and black), a variety of brushes, Pritt Stick, scissors/scalpel, collage papers and a natural sponge.
This course runs on one day per week online and the dates are:
