Course Overview
This course is suitable for learners who have a basic knowledge of using a computer or laptop, with little or no experience of Microsoft PPT. This is a three-week course comprising two hours per week.
What will I learn?
The aim of the course is to give the learners basic skills to enable them to use PowerPoint to create simple presentations.
The following topics will be covered in this course: Learning basic PowerPoint terms; Using different slide layouts; Creating slide masters; Adding and formatting text and images to slides; Using links and importing from other Microsoft package, Word or Excel for example; Using suitable animations for the PPT; Using different slide designs; Showing the presentation to a minimum of one other learner; Save to appropriate folders and print work
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements associated with this course, however learners are expected to know how to use a computer, ie log in and use a mouse.
This course runs on one day per week at the Trowbridge Campus and the dates are:
10.05.21-24.05.21 Monday 18:30-20:30
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes and will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
Additional Costs and Information
There will be a presentation that will also be given as a handout and a workbook to use. Please note that the course is a combination of lecturer taught and individual learning using the workbook with lecturer support.
