Course Overview

Completion of this one day course enables you to meet the legislative requirements for working with a tractor mounted boom sprayer to distribute pesticides. Please contact or 0845 345 2235 Option 1 with any questions or if you are an employer enrolling one or more employees onto this course.

What will I learn?

After this course you will:
Know the legislative and safety regulations relating to applicator use
Be able to assess the environmental factors relating to mixing and application
Be able to read and interpret product information
Be able to prepare and calibrate a hand held pedestrian applicator
Be able to operate the application equipment
Know how to carry out post-operational procedures

Study, Assessment and Qualifications

Assessment will be a combination of observation of practical skills, and a questions and answers session to determine your level of knowledge and understanding of the module.

Assessment will be on a separate day at a designated time, dependent on assessor availability. We aim to carry out the assessment within one week of the training.

Entry Requirements

You must have completed and passed the Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1).

Additional Costs and Information

The cost of the course includes course materials and assessment fees. VAT is not applicable.

The purpose of the NPTC assessment is to prove occupational competence; further charges apply if re-assessment is required.
