Delivered at our Chippenham campus, the design of this programme is informed by the industry needs and modules studied ensure you will acquire the high level technical abilities and knowledge needed in the industry as well as developing research skills to be innovative.You will have access to industry standard software and will be able put into practice the theory in workplace settings.The course aims to provide you with a balanced set of knowledge and skills emphasising the personal, interpersonal and project skills necessary to make these skills applicable to the modern workplace. The Computing project will provide you with the opportunity to put into practice the academic knowledge acquired during the degree.

This top-up year has been designed as a progression route for the Foundation Degree in Computing at Wiltshire College & University Centre.
In order to progress onto the top-up year, Foundation Degree students will need to achieve a Merit in the Foundation Degree in Computing.
It will also be open to students from other institutions and other Computing related programmes that possess the following qualifications:
- At least Merit (55%) in a Foundation Degree in Computing subject.
- At least Merit in HND in a Computing subject with a software development component.
- Direct entry after having completed level 5 at university level in a computing related subject.
Students for whom English is not their main language also need to show that their English is at a high enough level to succeed in their studies.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment across the programme includes written assignments including reports, case studies and presentations.
The emphasis is on assessment via coursework. However, you may have to complete short in class tests and / or examinations to support completion of criteria and to test your understanding within classes.
