Course Overview
The programme is designed to improve participants confidence in numeracy and allow them to practically apply their knowledge to everyday situations. The programme will help with entry into ESOL maths and English.
What will I learn?
The sessions are being run at the Westbury Community Project as a drop in. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills in a friendly and supportive environment and will gain knowledge by building basic numeracy maths skills in:
· What are basic math skills,
· fractions and decimals,
· visual representation of data,
· determining time estimates,
· addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and
· percentages.
You will gain individual support. We will discuss and agree with you some key targets, for example working with number, measurements, money and everyday problem solving.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Assessment is informal, based on your personal targets and the learning outcomes will be undertaken regularly with you by the course tutor.
Entry Requirements
You must be a Wiltshire resident and not hold a L2 qualification to be eligible for multiply funding.
Additional Costs and Information
