College is completely different to school - the classes are smaller, I'm treated like an adult and I like that I call the lecturers by their first names.

Full Time Courses (three days a week)

We offer three-day courses in a range of subjects appropriate to an individual’s interest and ability.

Students spend three days (roughly 9am-4pm) in their subject area and will achieve qualifications relevant to the course. Students often start their full-time provision in Foundation studies, achieving Functional Skills in Maths and English alongside practical skills accredited by Ascentis.

If a student is taking GCSEs at school and has a proven ability in a subject, they may begin their studies in their chosen curriculum area to achieve a Level 1 qualification.

We are currently unable to enter students for GCSEs.

School Link (one day per week)

We offer 1‑day courses in a variety of vocational subjects.

Students spend one day (roughly 9am-3pm) in that curriculum area working towards a qualification recognised by industries. Students usually attend for two years (years 10 and 11). By the end of the first year they would usually have achieved an Award/Certificate; at the end of the second year they achieve a Certificate/Diploma. This means that if a student wants to join a course in year 11 and only has one year left, they can do one year of the course and achieve a smaller qualification. These courses also give students the opportunity to mix with students from other schools, giving them a real flavour of college life.

Please note: we no longer accept EHE; learners must be on roll with school.

Bespoke Packages to Suit Your Students

We are always looking to improve and develop the provision in line with the needs of schools. Therefore, if you know of a student that might benefit from a different curriculum area/something we don’t yet offer then please get in touch to discuss. When appropriate, and in conjunction with the curriculum area, we can sometimes infill students into an appropriate subject for one day a week.
