View our range of courses

If you dream of a creative career in the competitive world of graphics and photography, our hands-on courses will give you a head start in building your skills, exploring your talents and developing your portfolio.

Our courses are taught using state-of-the art Mac facilities, and you’ll work in fully equipped studios with access to a range of industry-standard equipment and traditional professional cameras.

We offer Art and Design courses from Level 1 upwards, with our specialist photography pathways available at Level 3, Higher National Diploma and a BA (Hons) in partnership with Bournemouth University. Focusing on project work, you'll cover a diverse range of subjects including darkroom skills and studio techniques, portraiture, lighting and studio set-up, location photography, advertising and layout design, digital work and editing and digital photography. The Level 3 qualification will allow you to develop traditional silver-based and digital photographic skills, and makes the perfect foundation for studying photography at university.

What our students say...
We have endless opportunities to create amazing and unique work in the studio. We use all the professional equipment, giving us a competitive edge over a lot of other students.

Mark Leary, Lecturer in Photography,

Mark Leary is an award-winning film-maker and photographer. A contemporary artist, he is an observer of the everyday – capturing the minutiae of life and translating it into moments of magic.

With his unique colour palette and beautiful lighting, Mark creates a familiar (almost nostalgic) feeling to his work whilst pertaining relevance to a modern, stylised aesthetic. His work has been described as dreamlike and displaying a magical quality whilst conveying universal concepts of wonder, adventure, exploration and mindfulness.

Mark works with a mixture of both analogue large-format film and digital capture along with traditional darkroom printing techniques and digital manipulation to produce each piece. His final pieces are output as either still or moving images.
