The Information Communications Technician apprenticeship will provide teaching towards the knowledge, skills and behaviors of the apprenticeship standard. Apprentices will then work towards an end-point assessment with an independent end-point assessor from City and Guilds; this includes a professional discussion underpinned by a portfolio of evidence and a project report with questioning. Successful EPA can result in a Pass, Merit or Distinction grade.

What will I learn?
During this apprenticeship you will learn how to provide technical support to internal and external customers using diagnostic technics to locate problems and faults using troubleshooting tools. You will learn the application of security policies and processes linked to resolving IT technical issues. You will also apply testing methodologies to hardware, software or cabling assets. Whilst developing stakeholder communications, you will learn the importance of documentation and audit trails.
Entry Requirements
Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to completion of their apprenticeship.
Study, Assessment and Qualifications
You will complete a set of assignments in conjunction with online learning resources to develop your knowledge, skills and behaviors. You will be supported by your tutor to prepare for your end-point assessment with regular 1-2-1 visits and progress reviews. All apprentices will need to document 20% off-the-job training.
