What will I learn?
You’ll study a variety of units throughout the year, including:
– To provide a foundation of academic study skills as the basis for a range of related progression options
– To provide an introduction to a range of substantive areas, basic concepts and theories within criminology
– To provide an introductory level of application of criminology to a limited range of issues of direct relevance to the interests of students

Entry Requirements
– 4 GCSEs at grade 3 (D) or above, including English and maths.
– You will be interviewed by a member of the lecturing team.

Study, Assessment and Qualifications
You will be continually assessed through practical observation and written assignments and will be required to do some directed self-study outside of classroom hours. You’ll put together a portfolio of work and you’ll also be assessed on your attendance and punctuality. The qualification is graded between pass, merit and distinction.
