What will I learn?
When you sign up to study GCSE Maths, we will help you develop your core skills and knowledge in number calculations, algebra, measurement, shape, space and handling data.
We offer the 9 – 1 GCSE Maths through the Pearson (Edexcel) Examining Board.

Entry Requirements
As part of the interview process, all applicants will complete a skills check to gauge their current skills and ability.
Using the results from this and through discussion with you, we will be able to advise you about the course and qualification that is most suitable for you.
You will need your own laptop with a camera and mic and a reliable internet connection. Please note a phone or tablet is not sufficient. You will need good IT skills and be confident using Microsoft Teams (or similar.)

Study, Assessment and Qualifications
Before the course starts you will need to attend your nearest Wiltshire College campus to set up and activate your Wiltshire College IT account and authenticate your laptop.
You will be expected to attend the live online taught sessions each week and will be encouraged to develop your maths skills through full engagement online.
There is a range of e-learning facilities to support your development and there will be an expectation for you to complete work outside the lesson time.
Assessments will be set on a regular basis and these will be designed to develop your skills and fully prepare you for the GCSE final exams.
The grade you receive at the end of your GCSE Maths course is entirely based on your performance in three exam papers. One is non-calculator and the others are calculator papers.
Provisional 2026 exam dates:
9.30 am Thursday 14th May 2026
9.30 am Wednesday 3rd June 2026
9.30 am Wednesday 10th June 2026
You must be available to sit these exams at your nearest Wiltshire College campus.
There will also be mock exams before Easter.

Additional Costs and Information
All of these courses are free of charge for applicants who do not have a Grade C or Grade 4 or above at GCSE. If you are not eligible, the course fee is £864.
You will be required to provide your own maths equipment which should include a scientific calculation (ideally a Casio FX83 or FX85), paper, pens and a maths set.
