The College remains open as normal, as per the Department for Education's guidance for all educational settings.
Following yesterday’s (Thursday 12th March) Cobra meeting, Public Health England issued advice for anyone who has a new continuous cough and/or a high temperature, to stay at home for seven days from when their symptoms first started.
Any staff and students who are feeling unwell or are showing any symptoms of Coronavirus, should not come into College.
It is important to stay at home to protect friends, colleagues and the wider community and will help control the spread of the virus.
Public Health England has also asked anyone who needs to self-isolate to plan ahead and ask others for help to ensure they can successfully stay at home; stay at least two metres (about three steps) away from other people in their home and to sleep alone, if possible.
They should also stay away from any vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly or anyone with underlying health conditions, and wash their hands regularly for 20 seconds, using soap and water every time.
The College continues to follow advice from the Department of Education and will keep everyone informed of any updates.
