Developing an Art and Design practice is what helps to define the artist and designer. In the art world and the creative industries, artists and designers will often pursue individual concepts and themes, which come about through a series of proposals to organisations and pitches to clients. Sometimes this will be for a one-off project (together with its own restrictions - such as time, materials etc.) whilst for others their projects could last up to decades, in a state of continuous development and flux..
This piece is dedicated to reflecting personal growth and transformation through the depiction of flora and fauna, this is inspired by our connection to the natural world and humanity. My aim was to engage the audience by communicating the inevitable journey of growing up, with the utilisation of a familiar and well-loved medium.
