The Cage
I made a bird cage out of wire and aluminium tape to represent a figure feeling isolated. I included a mirror to suggest self-consciousness. I finished my piece by adding vines and flowers wrapped around the cage. This links to my theme - ‘behind the mask’ - because the natural elements wrapped around the cage represents what everyone else can see vs what’s actually going on inside the cage.
