Art and Design | Year 1
Level 3 Extended Diploma in Creative Practice: Art, Design and Communication
My final project is in response to the theme weather, more specifically cold weather. I have also linked my work to Raynaud’s Phenomenon, which is a condition where your blood circulation is affected and can cause you to feel increased levels of coldness, as well as causing some parts of your skin to change colour when you feel cold. This is a condition I have, therefore I wanted to make people aware of it through my art. I have responded to this theme by creating collages, lino prints, and digital fashion designs that focus on the cold, especially using the shape of hands as inspiration because Raynaud’s affects hands the most. Furthermore, I have made mittens to convey my interest in fashion whilst also linking back to the cold weather theme.
