College holds annual Student Awards to celebrate performance and achievement

Wiltshire College & University Centre celebrated the incredible achievements and successes of its learners across the academic year at the annual Student Awards event late last month.

The Student Awards are designed to not only celebrate academic accomplishment but also recognise learners who have gone above and beyond in their study programmes, as well as those who have shown attributes such as consistent improvement, encouragement for others and a positive attitude throughout the year.

In total, 60 awards were presented across the final few weeks of term, with as many students as possible receiving their prize from a member of the College’s Senior Leadership Team in their classroom alongside their peers and lecturers.

Students were nominated for an award by one of their lecturers and more than 100 different learners were put forward to win a prize. A judging panel then convened to whittle down the lengthy list and decide the final winners.

Many of the award winners are planning to continue their studies in the next academic year and have either enrolled on a course at the College or applied for university, while others are due to start full-time roles in the workplace or begin new apprenticeship training programmes.

Congratulations to all of our Student Award winners. The College would like to wish you the best of luck for your next step.
