College student earns full-time role after successful work placement

A Wiltshire College & University Centre student has secured a full-time position with his employer after completing a successful Industry Placement.

Hayden Daniell is studying Land-Based Engineering at the College’s Lackham campus and is due to finish his course this summer. Once he does, he will take up a full-time role at K Kennet Services – an Agricultural Technician covering Wiltshire, Gloucester and the surrounding areas.

Undertaking an Industry Placement to complement his study programme provide Hayden with invaluable experience and skills as well as a real taste of what life in his chosen industry is like.

Hayden said: “My time at the College was good fun. I really enjoyed my course and all the staff were really helpful and easy to get along with.

“I knew a bit about working with tractors and machinery before I started the course but learnt a whole lot more to do with engineering during my studies. I enjoyed every single bit of it and it really helped me to start my career.”
