International brand consultants Heavenly hosted the workshops as part of a collaborative project, led by Visit Wiltshire.

Wiltshire College & University Centre students took to the streets of Salisbury towards the end of last year to find inspiration for their designs and a selection were taken forward by Heavenly.

The workshops, which took place at both the Salisbury and Trowbridge campuses earlier this month, gave students the chance to look at the shortlisted designs, the different shapes and textures, to create a digital design.

Rohanne Sanders is a graphic designer at Orchard and is working with Heavenly on the project.

She said: “I think it’s a really great project for the students to be working on.

“I would have loved to have been involved with a live project such as this when I was at university.

“Their research will end up as a tangible thing and how this all works with strategy and brand guidelines.”

Louise Harrington, aged 18, is a student at the Trowbridge campus.

She said: “All the student produced sketchbooks and the team at Heavenly selected things that they liked.

“It’s a great project to be involved with and I enjoyed the workshop which focussed on branding and typography for the new Salisbury logo.”
