Customer Services Excellence - the Government Standard Customer Service Excellence Award

Wiltshire College endorses a customer-focused culture and this is reflected in the first of our Core Values - To Put the Learner First. With this in mind, the College went through a rigorous assessment and achieved the new UK government standard for Customer Service Excellence in March 2012.

The assessment focuses on customer insight, information, delivery, timeliness, quality, culture and leadership. On meeting the standard, the assessor declared the award was 'well deserved'. Evidence showed that staff have a deep understanding and commitment to customer service excellence. Consultation with customers is integral to service planning and the College uses the information to identify service improvement and make positive changes. The commitment to putting the customer at the heart of the service was found from senior management levels through to operation and front line staff.

The assessor confirmed that all customers are treated fairly, information provided is accurate and relevant and comprehensive standards are in place to monitor quality of service. The College was found to provide extensive support to local communities and good causes, supporting innovative events and involving local businesses in actively promoting the College's Aims and Objectives across the county.

Customer Services are often the first point of contact in the College. There is team on each of the four main campuses covering Reception and the Customer Services offices.

Our friendly Customer Services advisers can help you with your queries and deal with applications, enrolments, student money advice and transport to College assistance or, refer you on to the College's other support services. Wiltshire College is accredited with the national 'Matrix' quality kite mark for information, advice and guidance. You can therefore expect to receive excellent customer service, impartial advice and objective information.
