Come and experience our fantasic land-based courses at our Lackham campus this February at our brand new overnight taster days.
Experience land-based engineering, agriculture, horticulture and countryside management with activities including building a new machine from scratch, welding, tractor driving, livestock handling, path construction, brick block paving, arch building, coppicing, hedge laying and safe fire arms use.
You can choose to experience all activities over two days or select a specific area (i.e. agriculture) for specific activities over the two days.
Jennifer Mellows, head of Land Based at Wiltshire College, said: “All activities are designed to give you a real taste of what our students actually do on their study programmes. Our students develop strong practical skills whilst completing our courses; with 1600 acres of farm, engineering workshops with a variety of different machinery, woodlands and gardens with construction areas, we can assure you that your days will be both fun and informative!”
These taster days are for 15 and 16 year-olds only and parents can also attend if they wish. The cost is £50 per student (which is refunded in Amazon vouchers should the student enrol on a course starting September 2018) and £20 for accompanying adults. Please note additional accomodation nights can be booked - for example on Sunday 11th and Tuesday 13th if required.
Prices include all accomodation and all food.
