Information for Parents

Di Dale, Principal, Wiltshire CollegeWelcome to our parents' section, designed to introduce you and your family to this exciting new chapter in your child's education. As a parent myself, I recognise that this is an important stage in a young person's life - the first step from the more structured world of a school to the adult environment of the College with its wide range of learners.

At Wiltshire College we are expert in supporting young people as they move through this phase of education into the working world or on to higher education. Ofsted have highlighted this as a real strength of the College.

Our success is based on providing a first class experience for your daughter or son. He/she will have a Personal Tutor who is responsible for their wellbeing and progress. We have our own professional careers guidance staff, who assist with university applications and job seeking. We have staff who can help to improve the ability to learn, as well as experts in the many vocational areas we teach. Add into the mix professional Counsellors and also student liaison officers who run the Freshers' Fairs and many enrichment activities - making the College a rich environment for your son or daughter.

We seek to offer excellent teaching, good facilities and great care and support. The College opportunity enables young people to improve their qualifications and progress to good jobs or to higher education but also to meet new people and do new things. There is serious hard work to be done but also fun and friendship to be enjoyed.

I hope you find these pages stimulating and useful, and that you will trust us with the care and progress of your son or daughter next year.
