Wiltshire College’s university level courses meet top UK standards

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education has confirmed the quality and standards of provision at Wiltshire College following its review of the institution in February 2017.

The QAA confirmed that the College ‘meets UK expectations’ in all four areas – the quality of student learning opportunities and information about learning opportunities, the maintenance of academic standards of awards offered and the enhancement of student learning opportunities.

The successful review means that the College can display the QAA Quality Mark indicating to all UK and international students that the College’s university courses meet all national requirements for standards and quality.

Principal Amanda Burnside said: “We’re delighted to receive this positive endorsement of the College’s degrees and higher level courses.

“This recognition will confirm to local students and employers that there is a real alternative to going out of the county to study and that there is a high quality offer in Wiltshire.

“Our new HE strategy will deliver more flexible and part time courses aligned to employment priority areas; we are working closely with employers on these developments.”

Wiltshire College currently has more than 700 students studying Higher Education in courses such as Engineering, Applied Computing, Motorsport Engineering, Early Years, Animal Science, Criminology and Criminal Justice, Computer Games Animation, Film and Cinematography, Photography, Sports Coaching, Teacher Education, Music and Health & Social Care.
