Wiltshire College to centralise part-time course provision

Wiltshire College has revealed plans to relocate part-time courses from its Devizes and Warminster buildings to three of its larger campuses.

Part-time course provision will be unaffected with all courses going ahead as planned, but will be moved to the larger Trowbridge, Chippenham and Lackham sites from January 2019, adding to the range of part-time courses already on offer at these campuses.

The move comes in the wake of a glowing Ofsted report as the College looks to further improve the student experience across further education, higher education and apprenticeships as well as maintaining its part-time course offer.

Amanda Burnside, Wiltshire College Principal, said: “By relocating our part-time provision, we are opening up new possibilities for our students.

“Students will be able to use the Learning Resource Centres, canteens and common rooms as well as other onsite student facilities.

“They will also be able to access improved progression opportunities to continue their learning.

“We are very keen to maintain the breadth of part-time offer the College has and see this move as a way of being able to sustain and retain this important provision for the future.”

Courses running at the Devizes and Warminster campuses will continue as normal for the remainder of 2018, with courses being centralised at the College’s main campuses from January 2019.

Wiltshire College offers a huge range of part-time courses from languages and catering to accounting and childcare.

Contact the Adult Learning Team on 01225 756289 with any queries about these changes and the College will do its utmost to assist.
