General Information
Welcome!
Each campus has a large library and you are automatically enrolled as either staff or as a student. Staff aim to create a supportive, work-focused and friendly atmosphere in the libraries
Each LRC (Learning Resource Centre) has been designed and resourced to help you complete your coursework with over 20,000 books, magazines, DVDs on each campus as well as a broad range of online databases, e-journals and e-books.
The Library catalogue is at the heart of the LRC service and you can access it via Signpost; eStudy or via the standalone PCs available in every campus LRC – please just ask.
If your campus does not have the book you need do ask as items can be transferred between sites or we can borrow them from other libraries for you.

Facilities include: networked PCs, black and white and colour printing, photocopying as well as scanners and other hardware. The PCs have all the software required for your course so again please just ask.
One of the reasons for wearing your ID badge at all times is that you will need it to borrow resources or use a PC.

Facilities for HE students

As well as all the relevant books, online resources and facilities provided for all students, HE students have:
- Separate HE study areas available on each campus.
- Extended loan periods for resources as well as being able to borrow more resources
- Guidance and support via more inductions including bibliography and referencing and assisting in accessing online resources
- Library staff not only experienced in supporting HE students but who have good liaison with the relevant HE institutions
