Lackham Campus

Lackham HouseThere are acres of inspiration for you to explore on our Lackham campus.  1700 acres to be precise!

Known for its expertise in land-based industries, the campus is also home to other courses such as motorsport engineering. Whichever subject you choose you will find specialist, industry relevant facilities and professional experienced staff to guide through your studies.

Partnership with some of the country’s leading universities and specialist employers enables us to deliver degree level courses in Rural Environmental Management, Animal Science and Management, Equine Management, Agricultural Engineering and Agriculture.

Students benefit from gaining extensive hands-on experience across the Lackham estate, whether on the farm, in the workshops, out in the woodlands or by using the very latest in farm machinery.  Our extensive gardens provide a stunning location for the horticultural students to practice their skills, whilst the floristry students benefit from access to spacious workshops and a wide range of plant materials.

The Animal Centre offers students hands on experience of working with domestic and exotic species.  It also has a Blue Cross cat rehoming centre based within it.

More information about the farm can be found on the Lackham Farm website: www.lackhamfarm.co.uk.

Students at Lackham“We are very proud of the high employability rates of our students at Lackham.  The high levels of practical experience we are able to offer are second to none and this is recognised by employers” Ian Revill, Director of Campus.

Many of our students are resident on campus in purpose built accommodation, so the social life at Lackham is lively.  With social and sporting events organised at weekends and during the week, there is always plenty to get involved with.  The Avon Centre is the social hub of the campus whilst the restaurant provides a range of meals throughout the day.  There are a wide range of sporting facilities on site.

The Learning Resource Centre provides an extensive range of resources to support your learning and the friendly team of staff are always on hand to help you to find what you need.

If you are looking to learn about and work in the countryside in Wiltshire, then Lackham offers acres of inspiration to enable you to achieve your ambitions.
