Certificate in Principles of Business and Administration Level 2

  • Training in personal responsibilities  & working in a business environment
  • Managing information & producing documents
  • Supporting change & supporting business events

2 days a week for 5 weeks


ITQ Level 1  Clait- computer literacy and IT

ITQ Level  2 Clait- computer literacy and IT

 

ILM Award in Effective Team Member

  • Learn about the various roles, functions and responsibilities within a team
  • Learn about team dynamics and how to understand effective leadership

ILM Award in Team Leading

  • Gain understanding of the team leader role
  • Learn how to motivate and gain the best from the team

Care

Certificate in Working in the Health Sector Level 2

  • Classroom training to learn about communication skills for working in the health sector
  • Learn about equality and diversity within this sector and how to maintain quality and standards

Emergency First Aid in the Workplace

  • Learn about the roles and responsibilities of an Emergency First Aider
  • Learn how to manage incidents and any casualty situations

Health & Safety

CSCS

  • Includes working guidelines for construction sites
  • Health & Safety training
  • Booking of health & safety test
  • Successful candidates have the choice to apply for the CSCS card

CIEH Level 2 Award in Health & Safety in the Workplace

  • Learn about the law and how to prevent accidents and ill health
  • Training on risk assessments and manual handling and workplace health, safety and welfare

Essential Skills



Literacy Level 1 (+ free CSCS course)

  • Improve reading and writing skills
  • Gain confidence in communication skills

Numeracy Entry Level 3 (+ free CSCS course)

  • Attain & brush up on mathematical skills
  • Gain confidence in number work to assist in working situations

 

Customer Service & Retail Industry

Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service

  • Includes training on how to deliver effective customer service
  • Support in the Customer Service environment

Level 2  Certificate in Retail

  • Includes training in health & safety in the retail premises
  • Customer service and the retail sector
  • Team work within the retail business

Catering, Hospitality & Security



CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Hygiene

  • Learn about the laws that apply to the food industry
  • Learn about the importance of high standards of cleanliness and storage in this industry

CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Hygiene

  • Training on how to apply and monitor good hygiene practices
  • Training on how to implement good food safety and contribute to the safety training of others

2 days


BIIAB Level 2 Award in Door Supervision

  • Gain a qualification fully endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA)
  • Includes training and assessments on all aspects of Door Supervision and the Industry

5-6 days

Transport & Warehousing



EDI Level 2 Certificate in Warehousing & Storage Principles

  • Theory Training on Health and Security within a warehouse and storage environment
  • Training on how to develop effective working relationships with colleagues

2 days a week for 3 weeks


Fork Lift Truck - Counterbalance & Reach

  • Includes training and assessments on how to work the truck safely
  • Includes training and assessment on the operation, loading and unloading of both trucks

5 days

Active Employment Training

This is the current offer available with Wiltshire College, training will be provided at venues in the Wiltshire and Swindon area. If you would like to take up any of these training opportunities please complete the form below - Section A only - and send it to the specified address.

If you are currently on JSA please confirm this by asking your Job Centre Advisor to stamp the form on the reverse. Once Wiltshire College is in receipt of the form you will receive an acknowledgement. You will be invited to a venue convenient to both parties to discuss training opportunities within the various work sectors and job prospects that this training will provide for you.
