The Chippenham Campus is situated alongside beautiful parkland, just a 5-minute stroll from the centre of this historic market town.
Chippenham itself is a combination of old and new. There are a wide range of shops within the town centre and colourful street markets take place on Fridays and Saturdays in the market place, which also hosts the fortnightly Farmers' Market.
In the evening you will find a variety of pubs, clubs and restaurants or if you fancy something quieter, Chippenham cinema is only a 5-minute walk away.
The town is situated just 4-miles south of the M4 motorway and the Chippenham campus is literally across the road from the railway station. Bath, Swindon and Bristol are just a short direct train journey away for even more choice in entertainment and shopping and London or the South Coast are both easily reached.
Chippenham is the home to several large manufacturing companies including Westinghouse Rail Systems and Wincanton, a large transport and distribution company. Many people take the 15 minute rail commute to Bath where there is a thriving business community across all employment sectors. Tourism offers many employment options in the city and the creative industries are also well represented.
On the busy campus you will always be made to feel welcome. The students at Chippenham are well known for mixing across courses, so you will get to socialise and meet lots of new friends.
The student common room and newly refurbished mature student common room offer a host of facilities including comfortable seating, television and computers for web browsing and email. The common rooms are ideally located next to the campus cafe, where you can pick up an excellent range of hot and cold meals throughout the day. The garden area, designed by the student council and built by millennium volunteers, is a popular place, for studying, relaxing or socialising - particularly during the summer months.
Facilities for study across the campus are of a very high standard. The library and computer work areas provide you with all you need to stay on top of your college work with hundreds of networked computers and thousands of books to ensure that the information you require is close at hand. As well as our own sports centre, which plays host to numerous activities throughout the year, the Olympiad Sports Centre is opposite the campus. This offers a full range of sporting and fitness activities, which complement those of the College.
If it's on-site entertainment you want then a trip to the Cove theatre to see one of our student performance companies in action is a real must. A range of diverse musical and artistic events run throughout the year.
DisabledGo provides detailed independent online accessibility guides to a huge range of venues for disabled students and visitors.
Wiltshire College's facilities were surveyed in 2011.
