Career Prospects and Opportunities

Students who complete this Foundation Degree often choose to pursue a top up qualification, a one year course resulting in a BSc. This could be pursued locally with the Royal Agricultural University, or perhaps if your interest is game and wildlife management you might choose to spend a year with our partner institution in Hungary, the Institute of Wildlife Conservation at Szent Istvan University.

You might then consider employment with the Natural Trust, RSPB or Wildlife Trusts as a site manager, maybe consider further study with a view to becoming an ecologist or game and wildlife scientist, or perhaps think about a role with the Environment Agency, Natural England or local government. Within the private sector the game and wildlife industry is growing all the time, bringing with it opportunities in estate management, sports agenting, gamekeeping and fishery management.
